Love is the most powerful emotion a human being can experience. Yet, if you ask 10 people what love is, you will get 10 different answers. And that’s okay!
For the purposes of our meditation exercise in Accessing the State of Love, let’s explore love a little deeper.
There are many types of emotions in which we express love: the religious love of God, romantic love, family love, the love we feel for our pets, etc. The list goes on and each type of love is quite different.
Let’s talk about love when love is not the same as someone’s feeling of love. This is the practice of love, and it’s not something you find or don’t find. The practice of love is based on compassion, kindness, acceptance and understanding. This is a state of being, and has nothing to do with someone or something outside of yourself.
It is the merging of “mind”set with “heart”set and transcends emotion. This is the purest form of love because it is a state of being. And when we root ourselves in this internal state of love, NOTHING can take that away!
One of my favorite authors, Eckhart Tolle says,
“Love is a state of Being. Your love is not outside; it is deep within you. You can never lose it, and it cannot leave you. It is not dependent on some other body, some external form…This is love.”
So how might we access this pure state of love?
Have you ever noticed that in certain delicious moments in life, your mind is speechless and your breath is taken away by an experience, like a magnificent and beautiful scene in nature, for example?
We find that within moments of awe, there is a stillness and intense joy, love and peace. In that moment, we are connecting deeply with this experience and our state of being is love. Many things can trigger this internal love within us, and those are the things we want to surround ourselves with as often as possible!
This is such a sacred state to be in!
However, reality and the ups and downs that we experience in life may not always be about majestic experiences of awe-inspiring beauty. Yet, when we intentionally choose to ground ourselves in a state of love, we increase our experiences of pure love.
Then, we activate the law of magnetic attraction because our love magnet becomes powerful within us, thus attracting more opportunities to be in a state of love…we co-create more love in our lives and activate our internal, beautiful, untouchable state of love.
I help people learn how to access a state of at-onement with everything, in deep and profound love in their meditation practice. I often refer to it as a state of grace in the stillness.
In this video you are going to learn the two questions to ask yourself so that you can practice being in a state of love in your thoughts, emotions and actions. Then, I will guide you in a meditation focus to connect deeply with that state of grace.
